UNESCO - Branding Liverpool
Working with Liverpool City Council, the brief was to create an identity which could be used to mark designated Unesco areas across the city of Liverpool and work as a guide to aid visitors to the attractions. The team at Nonconform and I commissioned Charlie Weatherstone (designer at Nonconform) to Illustrate a number of attractions and buildings within a letterform which would signify the area. The combination of a modern simple pen drawing inside a classic font (used widely in the city during its heyday) creates a unique design which tells the story of each location simply and informatively. The logotype was drawn by fusing two fonts together to create a bespoke font for the project.
